Project One Grades
Dear Class,
You can now see your grades for your first project on Blackboard. Remember that the number you see is the number of points you received on the assignment, not your percentage. So if you see 47, that means you received 47 out of 50 points, 94%, not 47%.
Also, I wanted to remind you guys to bring a hard copy of your Powerpoint presentation to class on Friday. Those groups who do not will lose one point on their projects

Second Blog Assignment
For your second blog assignment, you will need to read Flaum's "Find Your Howl".
Flaum references two stories within the article. Briefly summarize (100 words or less) one of the stories for your audience and explain the main point that Flaum makes within the story. Then share your own favorite quote, poem, lyric, paragraph, or story and explain in essay form why this quote speaks to you as a creative person. The essay should be 500-750 words, not including the work that you cite.

Working as Teams in Group Assignments
Dear Class,
A large part of your total grade for 203 will come from the lab assignments where you will work with a partner or a small group of classmates. Group work is meant to be a collaboration of work, with members sharing equally in the workload. Group members must work with each other at times outside of class in order to complete lab assignments. You are expected to work together to create the presentations you will share during lab. As such, most group members will receive the same grade on the lab assignments. However, if one member accuses another group member of not doing his/her share of the work, then the entire group will have to meet with me to determine the truth of the matter. If the group member is shown to have not adequately participated in the assignment, then that student may be subject to a lower grade than the other group members. Working with others is a key skill in the real world, so please work well with your fellow group members in order to avoid this situation.

Blog Assignments
Dear Class,
You will be assigned one blog assignment per week. However, I will be grading these blogs in groups of three after every three weeks. In short, your first three blog assignments will not be graded until the fourth week; your fourth, fifth, and sixth blogs will be graded during week seven; and your seventh, eighth, and ninth blogs will be graded during the tenth week of class.
I would encourage all of you to complete your blog assignments every week, so that you don't face a ton of homework at the last minute. However, the blogs are not actually due until the week they are to be graded.
